I've run a speed test, and it said my download speed is greater than 60 Mb/s, but when I go to download a file, it barely exceeds kb/bltadwin.ru happened very suddenly too, in the past, speeds were as high as 20 Mb/s. · But today I caught word that the larger downloads we have on our site are all extremely slow! I mean bytes/sec in some cases. It appears that the first 50K to 60K come lightning fast (normal speed for the site) However, after it loads those 50K to 60K, it looks like everything just drops. The download speed goes down to bytes a second or bltadwin.rus:
Download. For very large size downloads (more than 2GB), we recommend that you use a Download Manager to do the downloading. This can make your download more stable and faster, reducing the risk of a corrupted file. Simply save the download file to your local drive. Once downloaded, make sure that the file size is correct, prior to install. Instead of having to download the large file over and over again from the beginning, downloads would restart from where the previous download stopped (with a little overhead). The issue was with Apache's main settings file bltadwin.ru I found this: There are three ways to set up PHP to work with Apache 2.x on Windows. You can run PHP as a handler, as a CGI, or under FastCGI. And so I went into the Apache's settings and saw where the problem was: I had it set up as CGI, instead of loading it as a module.
Just place bltadwin.russ config file into the folder containing the files to be offered for download with the following contents: Files *.* ForceType applicaton/octet-stream Files This tells the Apache to offer all files in this folder (and all its subfolders) for download, instead of directly displaying them in the browser. I am running OO on a machine running Windows XP, and on a laptop running Vista. I find OO is very very very slow! I have done the "tweeks" suggested to memory size etc, but to initially open bltadwin.ru file (4 pages long) takes the XP machine about 4 minutes - yes that's minutes.
